Angie joined Open Table in 2017 and has more than twenty years of experience working with youth, young adults and families. Prior to joining Open Table, Angie managed community and volunteer engagement for 7 years at United Methodist Family Services (UMFS), a $30 million non-profit statewide child welfare agency. Prior to UMFS, she served as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Programs for the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church and its 1,100 faith communities and 300,000+ members for nearly 8 years.
As Chief Operating Officer, Angie oversees development and operations for an organization that has grown to twenty-eight states. She leads the implementation and expansion strategies for large scale projects throughout the country in partnership with diverse community sectors, including government, human services agencies, faith-based organizations, foundations, and other community sectors.
Angie has a B.A. from The College of William and Mary and holds a certification in youth ministry through Princeton Theological Seminary, as well as a certification in volunteer administration through the International Council of CVA.
Angie is the proud foster-adoptive parent of two daughters adopted through UMFS.– Sharon at age 14 and Leona at age 5 (now both grown). Through Angie’s journey with Open Table, she herself was “adopted” by her Table’s Friend who aged out of foster care and now calls her “Mom.” They have remained in relationship since 2017. Angie lives in Richmond, Virginia.
