Arizona State University will launch a Table to serve one of its own students in 2010. Additionally, the intellectual resources of ASU have been united with the Open Table Movement through a research study that was conducted on the Open Table volunteer experience by the ASU School of Social and Family Dynamics.

Brophy College Preparatory High School in Phoenix initiated a Table to serve a former student. Table Chairs were volunteers from the Brophy Parent Community. Through the Table, a LifePlan was developed for this young adult that has rendered stability in housing, healthcare, budgeting, and a career track. This young adult plans to pursue his college education in tandem with his new career.

The Open Table Model has been incorporated into the Baylor University Poverty Initiative. Through a Table hosted in a faith community in Waco, Texas, members of the Baylor University Faculty and Student communities participated firsthand in the Table model as Chairs. Additionally, Open Table has been invited to speak at Baylor University’s Poverty Initiative events.
