Table Model
A “Table” consists of 10-12 volunteers who bring their professional gifts and life experiences along with their personal networks to mentor an impoverished family for approximately one year. Together, the Table develops and implements a customized LifePlan to empower the family to live into their full human potential as productive members of their community.

The Brother/Sister’s Experience:
- Gains a caring support system
- Learns decision making skills
- Creates a vision for a new future through the LifePlan
- Overcomes obstacles from the past
- Accesses opportunities for self and family
The Table Chair Experience:
- Privileged to journey with Brother/Sister
- Models consensus decision making
- Uses own life experiences to serve others
- Forms bonds of friendship with Table members
Tables serve the great diversity of impoverished families — homeless, working poor, refugees, single men, single parents, intact families, elderly, young adults aging out of foster care, prisoner re-entry, mentally disabled, recovered drug addicts,
non-violent felony backgrounds — who are ready to live in to their full human potential.
