In this video, table members and community partners generously donated their time to help Open Table produce a video which tells the story of how a Table operates. Also, Open Table’s founder and CEO, Jon Katov, shares his passion for the Open Table Poverty Transformation Movement. Since Table volunteers and community partners collaborate to serve impoverished families, the views of these Table participants provide a great perspective on the work of Open Table.

This is a very good overview, great perspectives from helpers on those in need and those getting the support. Very well done. Extraordinary generosity and access to services needed, helping one at a time.

  2. This is a story with a happy ending! To have a brother or sister come to the Table from poverty and brokenness and after being “nourished” with relationship, love and support to have hope instilled (or reaffirmed) of a better life, this is what true service is. A very honorable and dignified way to bring everyone to the Table.

  3. Open Table is revolutionary in addressing the issue of poverty in America. This video is a testament to that. It is professional, easy to understand, and inspires hope. But most of all, it challenges each of us to convert from turning a blind eye to a brother or sister in need to offering our hand.

I was glad to see all that can be done. I am looking forward to getting more involved. I met John on a flight to Houston. We had a great time sharing the zeal for lifting up another. More people need to learn how to be their “brother’s keeper”.
